C2 Strategic Communications, one of the region’s largest public relations firms, seeks a Creative Content Strategist (Video & Scriptwriting) to join our growing firm. Based in Louisville and with offices in Lexington, KY, Indianapolis, IN and Nashville, TN, our 30-person firm serves clients and projects throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.

We are seeking a highly creative and strategic content creator with expertise in video production, scriptwriting and content strategy. This role blends strategic content planning with hands-on execution, requiring strong skills in scriptwriting, copywriting, videography, video editing and branded content development.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content strategies that align with brand goals, audience insights and campaign objectives.
  • Research target audiences, industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic content decisions.
  • Write persuasive and engaging video scripts for a variety of formats, including advertisements, explainer videos, branded storytelling and social media reels.
  • Collaborate with creative team members to conceptualize content, storyboards, and messaging that guide creative execution.
  • Ensure seamless integration of scripts, copy and visuals for impactful branded content.
  • Capture engaging visuals that reinforce brand identity and drive social media engagement.
  • Edit and refine photos and videos using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Manage end-to-end content production workflows, including scheduling shoots, coordinating logistics and overseeing freelance contributors as needed.
  • Partner with designers, copywriters and creative teams to develop cohesive campaigns and content assets.
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure content meets strategic marketing and PR objectives.
  • Stay current on emerging trends in video production, scripting and social media content creation.
  • Experiment with new storytelling techniques, visual styles and platforms to keep creative outputs innovative and impactful.

Skills/attributes

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a portfolio showcasing video scripts and marketing copy.
  • Strong photography and videography skills, including pre-production planning, shooting and post-production editing.
  • Proven expertise in video production and multimedia storytelling.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align creative execution with brand goals.
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset and innovative approach.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable presenting ideas and collaborating across teams.
  • Ability to delegate, collaborate and coordinate with internal staff.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Education/experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Production or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in scripting, copywriting, content creation or multimedia production.

More About This Role

C2 Strategic has more than 30 staff members serving clients and projects throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. Our firm continues to grow and innovate, partnering with clients who are committed to improving their communities and team members who can grow with us.

  • A typical work week is 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch.
  • Position will be based in C2’s Louisville office.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Night and weekend hours, and occasional travel, may be required but are minimal.
  • This position is full-time exempt and reports to the Senior Director of Creative Services.
