Proper Hospitality is seeking a passionate Marketing Specialist to join our corporate team in Los Angeles.

The Marketing Specialist supports Proper Hospitality’s performance-driven marketing efforts, ensuring the seamless execution of brand, digital and paid media initiatives. This role plays a key part in managing website content, CRM/email marketing, eCommerce optimizations, PR coordination and campaign reporting, helping to drive direct bookings, audience engagement, and brand growth across Proper’s luxury hotel portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Coordination & Digital Content

  • Manage creative requests, marketing calendars, and campaign approvals
  • Update and optimize property websites with accurate content, offers, SEO improvements, and conversion-focused enhancements
  • Maintain Google My Business (GMB) listings for hotels & F&B outlets to improve local search visibility
  • Collaborate with the SEO and digital teams to enhance website content for higher engagement and booking conversions

Performance Marketing & Data Support

  • Assist in tracking key performance metrics, including website traffic, email engagement, ad performance, and bookings
  • Support Google Ads, Meta Ads, and programmatic campaigns by managing assets and coordinating performance insights
  • Help optimize guest digital journeys, ensuring seamless user experiences that increase direct booking rates and decrease OTA reliance
  • Conduct competitor analysis to refine digital ad strategies and improve branded keyword search visibility

CRM, Email, & eCommerce Support

  • Assist with email marketing and guest segmentation in platforms like Revinate, Klaviyo, and Attentive
  • Ensure email campaigns are personalized, performance-tracked, and optimized for conversion
  • Support eCommerce initiatives, including special offers, digital content updates, and upsell opportunities to drive revenue

Public Relations & Social Media Coordination

  • Act as the liaison between PR agencies, internal teams, and digital channels to maximize earned media impact
  • Track and report press mentions, influencer partnerships, and media performance to align with social and paid media strategies
  • Partner with social media managers to integrate performance-focused storytelling and audience growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, digital content, or eCommerce (hospitality or ecommerce preferred)
  • Experience with CMS (WordPress, Shopify), CRM (Revinate, Klaviyo, Cendyn), and paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads)
  • Familiar with Canva and other design tools
  • Strong organizational skills, digital marketing knowledge, and analytical mindset
  • Familiarity with SEO, GMB management, conversion tracking, and performance reporting tools (Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau)
