We are currently in search of a Director of Development and Communications for a Community Service Nonprofit. The position is Onsite in Paramus, NJ. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Is This Your Dream Job? The Director of Development & Communications will serve as the Executive Director's right hand, leading fundraising efforts with a focus on donor engagement, and utilize data to create communications such as newsletters. The organization is currently focused on increasing both their corporate and individual giving portfolios, of which this person will take a critical role in developing. Must be commutable to Paramus, NJ. This role offers an 8am-4pm schedule Monday-Thursday, with an early office closure on Fridays (2pm). There is also the opportunity to earn a performance-based bonus.
Our Ideal Candidate:
•5+ years of fundraising experience, raising $1M+ annually required
•Highly proficient with CRM software (Raiser's Edge, Bonterra preferred)
•Basic financial management/ budget skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Experience managing small teams (2-3 individuals)
•Bachelor's degree
How You Will Spend Your Day:
•Develop and implement a multi-stream fundraising plan and relevant KPIs.
•Oversee portfolio of mid-level donors and track progress towards fundraising goals.
•Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and partnerships.
•Conduct regular in-person meetings to engage and cultivate new and current donors, develop pipeline of prospective donors.
•Oversee and coordinate major donor gifts, annual giving appeals, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, parlor events, and other fundraising efforts.
•Supervise the development team, consisting of the special events manager and grant writers, setting clear metrics, holding weekly meetings, and providing consistent team support.
•Maintain and update existing fundraising records to identify potential donors, track existing donors and acknowledge, record, and report gifts via database platform (Blackbaud/Bonterra).
•Design and execute the monthly newsletter, along with targeted communication strategies for engaging volunteers and donors.
•Develop a social media calendar and share updated content to promote programs and events.
• Draft content and assemble the Annual Report in collaboration with the graphic designer.
