Wilkes University invites applicants for an open Photography high school enrichment teaching position in the Upward Bound Program for the summer session. Upward Bound is a federally funded Trio Program, which provides support to participants in their preparation for college and ultimately, in their higher education pursuits.

The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the enrichment component of the Program by introducing students to the fundamentals of photography, including camera operation, composition, lighting, and editing techniques. Students will learn how to capture and develop images using digital methods, exploring various photographic styles and techniques. Emphasis will be placed on developing creative vision, technical skills, and an understanding of the role photography plays in visual storytelling. Throughout the course, students will create a portfolio of their work, which will be displayed at the end of the summer session. A Bachelor's degree in Integrated Media, Photography, Art, and/or a related field is required. Experience working with high school students or in a college-preparatory program is preferred.

Please note that this is a part-time/temporary position with a competitive hourly wage. Dates run from June 23rd through July 31st and classes are held throughout the week, Tuesdays and Thursdays (1:15P.M. - 2:30P.M.).
