Sr Communications Manager

A Corporate Affairs team member, this role will help execute and lead portions of our internal communications strategy through an integrated communications approach. You will collaborate closely with VCA leaders and subject matter experts to design, develop, and implement communication initiatives that engage Associates across multiple channels and touchpoints. You’ll bring your passion for storytelling to help us frame complex problems, develop succinct insights, and create a cohesive approach that resonates across our communication ecosystem and reaches Associates where they are—on the front line of providing care for pets and support for owners, and the teams who support these caregivers.

Key Responsibilities

In partnership with Corporate Affairs team leadership, develop and implement an integrated internal communications framework that aligns messaging across multiple channels and platforms to reach internal audiences.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create unified communication strategies

Translate organizational objectives into consistent, compelling narratives that resonate with our Associates, connecting with our why – and deployable across a variety of internal communication channels

Bridge communication silos to create a holistic, integrated approach to internal messaging

Develop and track measurement frameworks to track communication effectiveness across integrated channels

Contribute to mentoring and development of team members

Proactively understand broader organizational and industry landscapes that may impact communications

Education & Experience:

Bachelors Degree

8+ years of relevant experience

Computer proficiency in operating systems, software (Microsoft Office, industry-specific tools, etc..)

Language proficiency: English

More about you:

You love animals and are passionate about telling stories that drive engagement and impact

You are based in Los Angeles and have 8-10 years of communications experience, preferably with a communications agency background and/or within matrixed organizations

Managing complex, multi-stakeholder communication projects gives you energy

You have proven experience in integrated communications approach and an ability to work across multiple communication disciplines

Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, collaborative environments

Additional Information:

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $107,000 - $135,000.
