Sign Fab Inc. is a leader in wholesale sign manufacturing, specializing in custom signage solutions that set businesses apart. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled CAD Manager / Design & Production Manager to lead our CAD team and enhance our production processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and oversee the CAD design team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Develop and optimize CAD drawings for signage manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and feasibility in production.
- Collaborate closely with production teams, engineers, and customers to refine and improve designs.
- Manage and implement design standards, best practices, and quality control measures.
- Utilize SolidWorks and other Graphic software (Corel, AI) to create detailed technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to the CAD team to enhance skill development.
- Work with management to improve design efficiency, streamline processes, and integrate new technologies.
- Oversee production setup, including CNC setup and programming, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Manage approval drawing processes to ensure alignment with customer specifications and production feasibility.
- Supervise UV and Inkjet printing operations, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to production requirements.
- Oversee the department across three production locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality control across all sites.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in CAD design, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and other Design software.
- Extensive experience in the signage or manufacturing industry preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively guide a team and collaborate across departments.
- Understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and sign construction techniques.
- Experience in managing CNC setup, approval drawing processes, and printing operations.
- Ability to manage and oversee design and production operations across multiple locations.
- Ability to implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
