Our Boston based professional services client is looking for an onsite Copyeditor for an immediate hire; this role is onsite 3 days a week in Boston remote two days. Experience working in professional services firm ideal, and a background in journalism is a bonus.


Responsibilities:

Create, edit, and proofread copy for various marketing materials, internal communications initiatives, and thought leadership content using clear, concise, and strategic messaging.

Serve as coordinator and enforcer of the company style guide.

Own and manage copy projects internally; gain approvals from all relevant parties involved in each project.

Partner with designers and to ensure that the copy goals and art direction are aligned.

Support and produce writing assignments for various additional projects for the marketing team.

Proof and edit content produced by others in the Content team as needed.

Draft biographies for different department heads

Proofread a variety of assigned communications including website copy, emails, and event communications.

Qualifications:

2+ years’ experience in business writing ideally in a professional services environment

Excellent editing, proofing, and creative/business writing skills.

Ability to adapt writing to produce copy that follows the brand voice and style guidelines and is appropriate for the intended medium.

Understanding of marketing, communications, and advertising processes.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational, project management, and administrative skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute through to completion.

Creative problem-solving skills, reasoning ability, and a logical thought process.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and meet various deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels and respond to many stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Outstanding sense of customer service.

Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive attitude.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint and an ability to quickly get up to speed and master new applications and software as needed.
