Black Cat Rescue is a foster-based cat rescue dedicated to saving and rehoming black cats, who often face higher euthanasia rates and lower adoption rates than their counterparts. We work tirelessly to provide safe, loving environments for our rescued cats while advocating for their adoption and well-being.
We’re seeking a Volunteer Graphic Designer to help create engaging, mission-driven designs that support our rescue efforts. This role is perfect for a designer who loves animals, wants to use their skills for a good cause, and can dedicate a few hours per week to meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities
Priority Projects
Design one sticker per quarter to support fundraising and awareness.
Create one t-shirt design per quarter to help promote and raise funds for Black Cat Rescue.
Develop event collateral (monthly or bi-monthly, primarily late Spring-Fall) , including flyers, posters, and digital graphics.
Design annual business cards for team members and volunteers.
Additional Support (Nice to Have)
Create social media, email, and website graphics to highlight adoptable cats, fundraisers, and events.
Provide suggestions for website updates related to visual appeal and user experience.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar design tools
Experience with print and digital design (merchandise, marketing materials, social media)
Ability to follow branding guidelines while bringing fresh creative ideas
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Passion for animal rescue and advocacy

Time Commitment:
We ask for a commitment of about 8 to 12 hours per month. All responsibilities and duties may be completed remotely.
