2025 Marketing & Events Internship

DETAILS: Department: Marketing

Hours per week: Full time (40 hours)

JOB SUMMARY: The Washington Commanders Marketing & Events Internship is a seasonal position with the Washington Commanders that will start in June of 2025 and span until Spring of 2026. This position will have the opportunity to assist in executing various NFL tentpole and VIP events throughout the season and support the department with a variety of tasks including but not limited to those listed below.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assist with the planning, logistics and implementation of team events, including Training Camp, Fan Rallies, and corporate partner events Be a fan-facing representative of the team on gamedays and other event days Respond to inbound fan inquiries via mail, phone, and email and ship out fan and Rally program packs Creation of timelines, trackers & calendars Research events & best practices Help plan and execute partner dinners, meetings, golf tournaments with Alumni and more Support the Brand Marketing department as needed Support Commanders gameday and event spaces as assigned COMPETENCIES:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized, thoughtful, and reliable Detail-oriented and strong organization and project management skills Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment Team player with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously Identifies and resolves problems in an effective and timely manner Demonstrates ability to make decisions based on the best interests of the organization, staff, and guests MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing or event operations/planning Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of business, marketing, sports management, facility management, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of event industry terminology, facility capabilities, operational procedures, event coordination and event-related services Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation and Internet software Ability to learn design platforms such as Adobe suite products and Canva Must be available to work all Commanders gamedays, varied days and hours, on weekends and in the summer heat Salary: $15.00/hour EXPECTED EVENTS FOR THE COMMANDERS:
