Employee Benefits Producer
to join our growing team in
Rocky Hill, CT .
The Employee Benefits Producer is responsible for driving new sales and renewals within the employee benefits sector. This role emphasizes proactive client engagement, with business primarily conducted outside the traditional branch or office setting. As a key member of the sales team, the Producer actively participates in the Top Gun program, thereby qualifying as a "producer" and earning commissions based on performance. This position requires a dynamic, self-driven individual capable of building relationships, managing client portfolios, and effectively communicating complex benefit solutions to diverse audiences.
How You Will Contribute:
Responsible for the development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients. Prospect sectors or market areas by identifying business needs and proposing company products and services. Obtain prospects and actively pursue and create interest by making telephone calls, writing letters, or through personal visits. Maintain currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities. Work in tandem with the Benefits Manager and the Benefits Team for proposals, RFPs etc. with a clear course of action noted. Develop, present and sell new business proposals to appropriate prospects. Gather necessary information and develop, deliver and sell renewal proposals. Comply with account quality and size standards established by the agency. Perform periodic service calls on all accounts and provide or coordinate customer service requests. Conduct client coverage reviews and determine insurance coverage needs based on sound principles and updated healthcare rulings as well as carrier rulings by state. Licenses and Certifications:
CT Life & Health Producer License Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Bachelor's Degree and/or extensive insurance experience High School diploma Proficient with MS Office Suite Exceptional telephone demeanor Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position. 2+ years functioning in Employee Benefits department at an agency or company level or prior Sales experience. Pay Range $100,000 - $150,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
