As a designer, you’ll play a key role from early design development to final job walks, managing changes and revisions while balancing time-sensitive priorities and client deadlines. Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle & Portland Role
Work directly with the internal project team to assess requirements and develop conceptual designs and space planning based on client needs. Develop expertise in Haworth products and gain familiarity with other commercial furniture solutions to maintain cohesive workspace designs. Participate in client meetings both in person and virtually. Conduct research and support the selection of ancillary products for projects. Collect and procure finish and fabric samples for projects. Prepare installation drawings. Qualifications
Working knowledge of commercial office space planning. 5 years of experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products. Experience with SketchUp, CET, and Project Spec 5 or equivalent. Hold a bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a four-year program, or possess equivalent professional experience. 1-2 years of experience in either a paid or internship role at a furniture dealer, manufacturer, A&D firm, or similar related industry experience is preferred. A strong interest and ability to learn new planning, drawing, design, and specification software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you will communicate directly with internal and external stakeholders at various seniority levels. Excellent time management skills to complete your work based on project deadlines. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment where client and project requirements can change quickly.
