We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer specializing in On-Prem-Server/Web/Cloud development, security, and infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of web technologies, a passion for data security, and the ability to create robust, scalable, and secure web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React, TypeScript, and Next.js, coupled with expert knowledge in SQL database management and data security principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop secure backend systems and databases to support website functionality and future growth.
• Ensure the security of the website and user data through best practices in data security, penetration analysis, and infrastructure management.
• Integrate payment processing systems, focusing on Stripe for payments and subscriptions.
• Write comprehensive tests for infrastructure and APIs to maintain high-quality code and secure environments.
• Create and manage private and public APIs for internal and external use.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Create and maintain documentation for backend architectures, data structures, and security measures.
• Work with the team to identify and resolve issues, and provide technical support as needed.

Required Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of React and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of server-side rendering and serverless architecture.
• Intimate familiarity with cPanel, SSH, Vercel, WordPress, and other Web backend technologies.
• Experience with Supabase database management and SQL/SQLite.
• Deep understanding of data security principles and practices.
• Ability to write tests for infrastructure and APIs.
• Deep knowledge of setup & configuration, kernel scripting, MacOS/Server, Linux.
• Containerize and deploy on Cloud Service Providers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in cloud/web development, with a focus on React and TypeScript.
• Proven track record of developing secure, scalable, and efficient server/web applications.
• Experience in payment systems integration, for example with Stripe, is a positive.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Security, or a related field is preferred.
