Social Media Manager
to join our dynamic communications team. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in applying best practice tactics across a variety of social media platforms to engage internal and external stakeholders. The
Social Media Manager
supports the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Office of Corporate Communication (SEA 00D) by developing concise, compelling social media content. Responsibilities Assist with the creation, maintenance, and strategy of the organization's digital presence to build awareness across NAVSEA's social media sites (currently Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram) to targeted audiences including Members of Congress, Department of Defense (DOD), industry stakeholders, general public as well as military and civilian personnel within the NAVSEA enterprise. Work with other departments to develop digital marketing content and ensure consistency in messaging. Make recommendations to help meet campaign objectives. Track post-click and post-impression performance to ensure traffic generated engagement. Report statistics/measures of effectiveness to enhance and inform engagement. Improve and lead day-to-day campaigns that are measured on volume, quality, revenue, margin, or other key performance indicators. Curate all relevant visual and audio/video media and news products to Navy standards. Required Skills And Experience Minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing social media platforms. Knowledge of NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy and Department of Defense. Working experience with social media analytical platforms. Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams. Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work. Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Education Bachelor's degree in English or Communications field. Clearance Requirements U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Work Location:
Washington Navy Yard; Onsite 5 days per week. Compensation The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
