Summary: As a Development, Community Relations, and Marketing Specialist at Anova, your primary role is to promote the company across various channels to enhance brand identity, foster the company culture, and engage with employees, clients, donors, and strategic partners. In addition to the core responsibilities in website and social media management, marketing, and public relations, you will also dedicate a significant portion of your time to develop ways to fundraise. Essential Duties: Website & Social Media (10%)

Implement and maintain all aspects of the websites. Update website content (text, images, staffing and event changes) as needed. Optimize the website's vitality by analyzing analytics and making necessary adjustments. Act as a liaison with vendor(s) to enhance the website, address coding issues, and implement fixes. Create and curate basic visual content for social media posts. Promote school activities, organizational announcements, fundraising, PR and events on social platforms.

Development & Fundraising (35%)

Manage campaign management, set up meetings with the cabinet, work with finance to track and update numbers, utilize creative to create print and digital collateral. Maintain donor records, generate reports and mailing lists as needed, acknowledge donors. Lead the development efforts to secure funding, donations, and strategic partnerships. Collaborate with the executive team to plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns. Research and identify potential donors and funding opportunities. Write grant proposals and reports. Cultivate relationships with donors, both individual and institutional. Develop and maintain a donor database. Work closely with the Finance department to manage development budgets. Seek out and apply for grants, ensuring compliance with grant requirements. Maintain accurate records of all development activities.

Marketing (35%)

Develop and deploy branding campaigns to reinforce the company's image. Create promotional campaigns for various service areas. Design, develop, update, and order marketing materials such as flyers, posters, and brochures. Manage, promote, and further develop the Sensory Friendly Restaurant Program. Coordinate, develop and manage radio, video, digital and print opportunities. Manage, update, and analyze Google AdWords campaigns. Research community partnership opportunities. Work with current promotional partner to maintain and promote the Anova Store. Compose visually appealing layouts, proofread, and finalize Anova's quarterly e-newsletters.

Community Outreach (10%)

Support, promote, and assist Executive Management as ambassadors for the organization. Identify and exploit press and media exposure opportunities to promote company news, events, and activities. Draft, post, and follow up with press releases for all company news and events. Organize materials for events such as parades, walks, and symposiums on behalf of Anova. Research and submit potential awards and nominations for local non-profits, schools, community professionals, and others as appropriate. Establish relationships with key community members and organizations. Coordinate and manage the setup of promotional booths at school and community events. Photograph and promote company and development activities. Maintain photo archives and ensure client photo releases are on file. Act as a liaison with copy vendor(s). Attend Parent Association activities and encourage parent involvement.

Event Planning (5%)

Create and manage timelines, programs, and task lists for all Anova-hosted events. Negotiate costs and services with vendors, book event spaces, arrange food and beverage, and coordinate supplies and decorations. Organize and lead collaboration with the management team on event concept, graphic design, production, printing, and event marketing. Secure volunteers and manage the staff and volunteers working at events. Manage on-site event production and clean up as necessary. Solicit donors for in-kind donations and acknowledge.

Administrative (5%)

Ensure adherence to Anova's policies and procedures, as well as governing agency regulations and standards. Complete activities relevant to this position as required by the California Department of Education to maintain certification as a Non-Public School/Agency. Evaluate and lock work schedules according to Anova's policies and procedures. Complete and submit all administrative paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion.

Qualifications: Minimum Education required: BA degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum Experience required: Two years recent corporate marketing/PR department experience Two years website and social media experience Two years transferrable professional writing experience Non-profit experience strongly preferred Skills Required (technical): Superior writing skills Basic knowledge of marketing principles Basic knowledge of public relations principles Ability to proactively seek out and pursue PR opportunities Proficiency in MS Office & Adobe Design, Canva, CMS systems Current working knowledge of web design Strong creative design/layout & composition skills Strong proofreading skills Basic photography skills Adobe Creative suite skills Skill gathering and analyzing site analytics SEO skills preferred
