We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Sales Consultant to join our team. This role is responsible for creating and selling high-quality cabinetry designs while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabinetry sales and design, with a proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships, generate sales, and coordinate projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and responding promptly to inquiries and concerns.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Meet or exceed sales goals while maintaining profitable margins.
- Design and draft cabinetry that aligns with customer needs and expectations.
- Ensure all cabinetry drawings and renderings are accurate, easy to understand, and delivered in a timely manner.
- Assist in establishing schedules and deadlines for sold projects to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to stay informed about new products and industry trends.
- Foster positive relationships with customers, builders, architects, and designers.
- Coordinate efforts across departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay updated on industry events, market trends, and design styles.
- Conduct sales calls, schedule meetings, and establish new client relationships.
- Assist with creating estimates based on drawings and project specifications.
- Support the preparation of jobs for production, including final approvals on drawings and specifications.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in sales, interior design or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in cabinetry design and sales
- Proven sales abilities and strong client management skills
- Proficiency in industry-specific software, including Cabinet Vision, Bluebeam Revu, Vortek Spaces, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to design, estimate, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting cabinetry drawings, blueprints, and floor plans.
- Ability to analyze drawings and create accurate project estimates.
- Proven ability to develop new client relationships and conduct effective sales meetings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address design and layout challenges.
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends, cabinetry styles, and materials.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel the area
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary + Commission Structure + Full Benefits Package
- The annual salary is based on experience.
