Position Summary
The Turnberry corporate summer internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain real-world professional experience with a well-established South Florida company. The program is intended to develop the business leaders of tomorrow. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership, work on meaningful projects, participate in learning and development opportunities and join in networking and social events with other Team Members and fellow interns.
The internship will be in person at our Aventura Mall corporate office beginning in May and ending in August. Interns will work full-time 40 hours per week during the 10-week program.
The Social Media Intern will assist with content creation, community engagement, and influencer collaborations across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube. In this role, you'll support the Social Media Manager in creating and ideating content, monitoring trends, and organizing social media assets.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the content creation process, from concept to execution including copywriting, editing visuals, and using content creation tools for dynamic posts.
- Stay up to date with new social media platforms, algorithm changes, best practices, relevant influencers, and overall trends.
- Aide in the creation of planning and executing content calendars that are aligned with campaigns and promotional activities.
- Organization of photography, video, and other social assets through company approved platforms.
- Attend events to gather images and footage for content creation.
- Analyze and report on social media metrics (e.g., engagement rates, follower growth, reach, conversions), highlight successes, areas for improvement, and actionable insights for optimizing future campaigns.
- Undergraduate or Graduate student with relevant work experience and/or coursework in a related field
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule over 12 weeks (about 3 months) for the internship period starting May
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to Corporate Office
- Demonstrates dependability when following instructions, responding to management direction, and completing tasks in a timely manner or notifying the appropriate person with an alternate plan
- Prior internship experience within related field
- Strong academic record
- Relevant coursework or prior experience related to the internship field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, programming languages, and design software.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to the team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
- Legal eligibility to work in the country where the internship is located.
