We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and private organizations. The Grant Writer will collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information, craft compelling narratives, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from federal, state, and private funding sources.
- Write and submit persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to track deadlines and submission dates.
- Collaborate with program managers, finance teams, and leadership to gather relevant data and supporting materials.
- Ensure all proposals align with the organization’s mission, goals, and funding priorities.
- Edit and proofread grant applications for clarity, consistency, and compliance with guidelines.
- Manage post-award reporting requirements, including progress updates and financial reporting.
- Maintain a repository of past grant proposals and key proposal components for future use.
- Stay updated on funding trends, grant writing best practices, and compliance requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Grant Writer or in a similar role.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and persuasive proposals.
- Knowledge of grant funding processes, including compliance and reporting requirements.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience securing funding from government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
- Understanding of budgeting and financial aspects of grant applications.
- Familiarity with donor databases and grant tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
