We are seeking a Technical Artist focused on prototyping experiences in augmented and extended reality. This role is essential in bridging the gap between our artistic and engineering teams, ensuring that prototypes are both functional and immersive. The role will be dedicated to exploring the potential of emerging technologies and contributing to the development of innovative user experiences.
3D Character Artist, XR Art Team Responsibilities
- Create high quality Computer-generated content, from environments to characters, focus on characters for rapid prototyping and high-quality visuals.
- Partner closely with art and engineering teams to define pipelines and develop content in modern real-time environments.
- Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads.
- Collaborate and iterate based on the team's needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a CG generalist (Maya/Blender).
- Proficient in Unity and/or Unreal.
- Skilled in creating clothing, garments, or costume assets (Marvelous, Maya, or similar tools).
- Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience in translating technical terminology in order to drive understanding and buy-in from a varied range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience of identifying potential roadblocks early and developing plans to mitigate risks.
- In-depth knowledge in asset optimization.
- Experience in lighting and compositing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloth simulation experience, in Marvelous Designer/Maya or equivalent.
- Virtual reality experience - Preferably in Unity.
- Proven experience in creation and pipeline of digital clothing, both for VFX and Video Games.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies.
- Groom/Hair setup and simulations.

US$95,000/year to US$148,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
