What You'll Do
Psyonix is looking for a Technical Artist to work with our world-class team! You’ll work closely with artists and engineers to craft awesome game visuals and art workflows in Unreal Engine. Using your technical knowledge, you’ll create and support a variety of vehicle cosmetics, support artists and production teams by creating time-saving workflows, and help bridge the gaps that will ultimately expand the greater Fortnite ecosystem. In this role, you will
- Use a multitude of techniques and workflows to create assets
- Liaise with the producer and lead on the project to scope the work required, adding suggestions along the way to make artistic improvements and technical workflows
- Balance a variety of tasks, priorities, and bugs sometimes across multiple projects
- Create and understand complex material pipelines to support various vehicle cosmetics
- Write and maintain documentation for workflows and tools
- Confidently execute and work with minimal oversight
What we're looking for
- A confident individual who can creatively problem-solve tasks
- Adaptable and quick learning, the individual must have a diverse knowledge of other DCC applications to make content and help aid workflows
- A strong eye for detail and an extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 is preferred (proprietary and/or Unity knowledge is fine)
- A candidate who can take feedback well and also self-critique their own work
- An individual who is always willing to adapt their work and think ‘outside the box’ for solutions
- A passion to always improve their own skill and help others improve theirs
This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA, NYC, & WA).

New York City Base Pay Range
$146,901 — $244,835 USD
California Base Pay Range
$129,273 — $215,455 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$117,521 — $195,869 USD
