Who We’re Looking For:
We seek a talented, collaborative, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Graphic Designer. In this role, you will be central in shaping and maintaining Laborie’s brand identity across various channels and platforms, taking full ownership of the design lifecycle, from concept to ongoing iteration and improvement.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, persistence, and a positive attitude when faced with shifting priorities and evolving objectives. Maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset is essential for success in this role.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Director, Communications, the Graphic Designer will create, refine, and update engaging and innovative designs to support corporate, commercial, and other functional needs. Responsibilities will include:
Design Creation
- Take full ownership of the design lifecycle, from initial concept and design to ongoing iteration and improvement.
- Ensure Laborie’s visual brand identity across all channels and platforms, ensuring consistent and compelling design.
- Create high-quality visuals that include but are not limited to marketing materials, digital assets, slide decks, and so on.
- Work directly with marketing sales and other business stakeholders to translate campaign goals into compelling visual designs that align with our brand.
- Develop infographics, icons, and visual storytelling elements to enhance presentations.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain quality control procedures to ensure design and copy are fact-checked, images are brand-compliant and appropriate, and up to brand standards.
- Stay up to date with design trends, continue learning new skills, and evolve design for greater understanding.
- Collaborate with internal team and outside partners to develop and execute creative strategies that align with business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design, including 2D and 3D animation, illustration, with a strong, diverse portfolio.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory and layout, and visual storytelling.
- Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Resourceful, detail-oriented, and works well independently and on a team.
