Your New Role

As a Designer Drafter in our Salem, OR office, you’ll play a key role in designing electrical and structural layouts for power engineering projects.

  • Design & Drafting: Create detailed schematics and structural layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks

  • Software Utilization: Leverage cutting-edge design tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency

  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams

  • Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all designs meet NEC, NESC, and industry standards

  • Project Documentation: Maintain accurate records and perform quality checks

  • Process Improvement: Contribute to research and development efforts to enhance design methodologies

  • Experience: 1-2 years in design/drafting within the utility or engineering sector

  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Understanding of power engineering, substation, relay protection, and structural systems

    • Familiarity with NEC and NESC codes

    • Experience with GIS Mapping Software is a plus

  • Education: Associate’s degree in design/drafting or related field (Bachelor’s degree is a plus!)

  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and attention to detail
