Baker - Library Café Job at Sentry in Stevens Point

At the Inn at SentryWorld, we focus on the guest experience. Our property provides an upscale experience with authentic Wisconsin charm. We’re looking for an experienced Baker who’ll join the team and help deliver on our bakery concept. You’ll assist in the preparation of all bakery items, including breads, pastries, and other menu items served at The Inn. This is a Full-Time position with 40 hours per week. What You’ll Do

As a Baker, you will:

• Prepare, bake, & decorate from scratch breads, bars, muffins, cookies, pies, cakes, pastries, and specialty chocolate confectionaries for our guests
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, cases, and counter ensuring all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are met
• Collaborate with Hotel Chef & Beverage Manager on bakery preparation and execution for special functions to ensure exceptional service is provided
• Work closely with Café’s back of house team for the bakery’s production schedule while providing exceptional service

What it Takes

• Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
• Degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts preferred
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience, pastry cooking or pastry chef experience with high volume food production
• Ability to obtain ServSafe and State Food Handler Certification
• Ability to employ math skills when following recipes and menu specifications
• Strong listening, communication, and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve
• Ability to work flexible scheduling including early morning, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Additional hours may be needed beyond the normally scheduled hours to prepare for banquets/special functions
