The Hollister Co. team is looking for a Photographer that has a passion for studio e-commerce photography. This person will be responsible for shooting studio on-figure e-commerce imagery and ensuring that the garments are captured in the most appealing and compelling manners. These images will be customer-facing on all Hollister’s e-commerce and digital platforms. This person will work closely with the art direction teams, stylists, studio production, and other photographers in a fast-paced studio environment. This position demands that you have a great eye for detail, a vast knowledge of photography and lighting, and an ability to work with cross-functional partners to achieve desired results.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Photograph models for e-commerce site, including day-to-day on-set direction of posing, lighting, and mood of product capture.
- Photograph assigned in-house marketing shoots, assisting in collaboration with art directors and stylists on the lighting concept, production, and on-set execution of these marketing stories.
- Collaborate with art direction team to assist in testing and executing lighting, posing, and set design updates for e-commerce and assigned in-house marketing shoots.
- Partner closely on set with stylists, art directors, hair, and makeup artists to maintain style guide standards and participate in style guide updates when necessary.
- Participate in studio team collaborative processes around imagery, posing, lighting, and editing feedback to ensure the best possible final imagery.
- Maintain photo equipment and cleanliness of studio.
What Will You Need To Bring?
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience
- Product photography experience both off and on figure
- A perfectionist eye for detail and color accuracy
- Understanding of photography, lighting, photo editing, and compositional skills
- Must have experience in digital workflows using Capture One
- Expert understanding of both Film and Digital processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot lighting and camera issues
- Understand deadlines and schedules to help prioritize product
- Humble, team-oriented and optimistic
- Creative thinker; frequently pushes imagination beyond the comfort zone
- A meticulous approach to work; pays keen attention to detail
- Great listener; enjoys collaborating with other professionals
- Open-minded; takes in criticisms and opinions constructively
- Previous photo in-studio experience
- Passion for working with great brands and well-crafted product
- Portfolio or sample of work is required with application
