Briefly describe the position responsibilities:
Supervises a staff of up to 10 - 16 team members performing work in the print, assembly, decorating, and Order Processing. Plans, organizes, directs, and runs the day-to-day operations to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals. This job requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a warehousing/operations environment. The job involves supervisory responsibilities as well as some administrative responsibilities. The position will follow general guidelines as provided by the director of warehouse operations. This position reports directly to the director of warehouse operations.

- Supervises the daily work of team members performing duties in the designated areas of responsibility.
- Leads the day-to-day operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Oversees the work being performed in the print, assembly, decorating area of the operation.
- Oversees the work being performed in the Product Personalization area of the operation.
- Ensures work performed in areas of responsibility are meeting/exceeding Quality standards.
- Recommends improvements in processing flow in the Product Personalization area. Implements approved changes.
- Acts as key contact for Customer Service communications.
- Trains individuals working in the designated areas of responsibility.
- Ensures productivity standards are met.
- Assists in the professional development of team members.
- Ensures work is being done in a safe manner.
- Ensures team members comply with policies and procedures.
- Assists in planning and implementing improvements in all areas of involvement.
- Covers for peer Supervisors as needed.
- Fills in for director of warehouse operations as required.
- Coaches team members, completes disciplinary action when necessary, conducts performance reviews, and assists in interviewing and selecting new team members.
- Coordinates with other Supervisors to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly distribution center goals are being achieved.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a warehousing or operations environment.
Language Ability:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and direct reports.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, and decimals. Ability to develop basic formula(s).
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general typing and 10-key skills and be familiar with spreadsheet and word processing applications.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly oversees the activities of up to 25 direct reports, being responsible for the performance of those individuals. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Will provide motivation, guidance, coaching, and counseling as necessary to all direct reports. Required to complete performance evaluations of direct reports.
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to forklifts and motorized conveyors. The employee’s work will be performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse 90% (estimated) of the time, with the other 10% (estimated) being performed in an office environment. The employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
