Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Developer to design and develop engaging, user-centric interfaces that enhance the overall user experience of our applications. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of front-end development, user interface design, and user experience principles. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of user behavior to create intuitive and visually appealing digital experiences.
As a key member of the product team, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. You will play a vital role in shaping how users interact with our applications by creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.

Job Description
- Design user-friendly interfaces to be implemented in modern front-end frameworks.
- Develop interactive UI components and reusable design patterns that align with company branding and user experience standards.
- Conduct user research, create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize design solutions.
- Ensure UI/UX designs are optimized for a range of devices and screen sizes (mobile, tablet, desktop).
- Collaborate closely with product managers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between UI and back-end systems.
- Apply best practices in UX design, accessibility (WCAG), and usability testing to improve user engagement.
- Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, data insights, and evolving business requirements.
- Implement performance optimizations for front-end code to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Stay current with UI/UX trends, front-end development tools, and industry standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of responsive design principles and front-end security best practices.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- 5+ years of UI/UX development experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centric design and front-end development work.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, human-centered design, and best practices for responsive and accessible web design.
- Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and web security standards.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development practices.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of component-based design systems.
- Familiarity with Material UI (MUI) or similar design frameworks.
- Knowledge of UX research methodologies and usability testing tools.
- Experience in building design systems and component libraries.
- Exposure to back-end technologies (Go, Node.js, ASP.Net) is a plus.
Work Location, Shift & Schedule
This position is fully remote with strict adherence to a Work from Home policy. Occasional travel may be required to offsite locations to participate in regional meetings, client new business opportunities, or industry conferences or tradeshows. Shifox/Alopex full-time employees’ work hours are generally Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm or according to the business hours of your clients’ practices. If working part-time, you and your supervisor will agree on a work schedule.
