Shakaboom (Film & TV production house) seeks a seasoned producer with experience in fundraising indie films to spearhead the financing dimension of our proof-of-concept sci-fi short film. We have an excellent team in the making. Details, deck, and other materials (including budget) available upon request.

Both the feature-length and short scripts have done well in contests (Final Round Sundance Feature Film Lab, Top 10% Academy Nicholl Fellowship, Silicon Beach Film Festival Official Selection, First Flights x Theta Labs Shortlisted, Filmmatic Short Screenplay Awards Semifinalist, Screencraft Short Screenplay Competition Semifinalist, Screencraft Film Fund Quarterfinalist, Top 10%/Red List/#2 Sci-Fi Short on Coverfly).

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with approaching and/or have established relationships with private investors and brands and be familiar with appropriate grants, fellowships, and tax incentives/rebates. The candidate should also be ready to manage investor relations and investment strategies and leverage relationships with film festivals and distributors. Experience working with shorts, especially as POCs for Film & TV, is highly desirable.

This role should be a total blast for someone with a deep passion for indie sci-fi storytelling, a keen sense of the biz, and a wealth of established industry relationships.
