Job Title: Distribution Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Distribution Designer to perform design work for power distribution projects. This role involves client interactions, quality assurance, and control of junior-level drafters/designers. You will be responsible for creating complete design packages, including prints, BOMs, and loading calculations, and occasionally conducting site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Design power distribution projects

  • Participate actively in client meetings

  • Ensure quality assurance and control for junior-level drafters/designers

  • Prepare comprehensive design packages, including prints, BOMs, and loading calculations

  • Conduct site visits as needed

Essential Skills

  • Experience in Power Distribution Design, preferably supporting Pennsylvania Utilities

  • Proficiency in CAD software, EFD, and PoleForeman

  • Ability to conduct field/site visits

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Electrical Design, Power Delivery, and Utility Design

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil)

  • Previous experience in Power Distribution

  • Experience with software such as SPANS, CREWS, or DDS

Work Environment

This role currently offers a remote work environment, with field visits to client sites as needed. In the next 6-12 months, an office will be established in Greater NE Philadelphia or Allentown, PA, and the role will transition to a hybrid model. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $48.00/hr.
