Experience Designer
to help create intuitive, engaging, and efficient digital experiences for internal users. This role requires a
user-centered design mindset , strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to transform complex systems into seamless and valuable products.
This role is hybrid in Richmond, VA OR Chicago, IL. Please only local candidate apply. The range for this role is between $60-$70hr.
Key Responsibilities: Design complex transactional systems into intuitive and valuable user experiences. Translate product strategy into interaction flows and final designs, ensuring high-quality execution. Apply color, composition, and content strategy to create consistent, user-friendly experiences. Advocate for usability and accessibility, ensuring designs are intuitive and inclusive. Work closely with technology teams and researchers to apply data-driven insights and validate design solutions. Create and present low- and high-fidelity wireframes, turning them into clickable prototypes for user testing and stakeholder alignment. Collaborate in design meetings and critiques, providing constructive feedback and maintaining design standards. Utilize Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools to develop high-quality user interfaces. Work in an Agile environment, using tools like JIRA to manage workflows and ensure timely delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions. Exceptional interaction and visual design skills with experience designing for responsive websites, applications, and digital interfaces. Knowledge of brand and digital standards, with experience contributing to asset libraries for cross-team use. Strong ability to communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Ability to think beyond a single design solution or platform, optimizing for reusability and efficiency. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, building trust with product, design, and tech partners. Strong time management and organizational skills, ensuring projects are completed on schedule. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Experience in finance or a similar industry. Familiarity with human-centered design methodologies, Lean XD, and Design Sprints.
