News Content Coordinator - Entry Level

Bobit Business Media Inc. ("BBM") is seeking an entry-level News Content Coordinator to join our editorial content team. The role will be responsible for receiving and processing press releases and quickly transforming them into concise news updates for our brands. This role involves editing and formatting text, selecting and optimizing accompanying photographs, and ensuring content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with our content standards.

Headquartered in Torrance, CA, BBM employees work remotely from home. BBM is open to employing new associates in (only) the following states/areas: AL, AZ, CA (except San Francisco), CT, FL, GA, IL, MI, NC, NV, OH, OR, TN, WI

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review and edit press releases (news) for clarity, grammar, and adherence to brand style
• Post news/releases on systems/platforms as instructed (CMS, etc.)
• Select and format relevant photographs to accompany news updates
• Collaborate with the content team to meet posting/publication deadlines
• Log all postings/activities and maintain press materials and media assets in an organized manner
• Other duties as assigned or requested
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
• Able to stay up to date on and incorporate industry trends and best practices in editorial content
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic image editing software (e.g., Canva)
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) is a plus
