Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a talented and innovative Creative Product Designer to help us develop exceptional products that embody our ethos of celebratory living. Collaborating with product development, sales, and leadership, you will take projects from initial concept through to production, directly impacting the evolution of our brand. Your design expertise will play a crucial role in shaping our product offerings and enhancing the party experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Creation: Lead the creation of new products, including surface prints, packaging, and display materials. Transform concept sketches into appealing, functional designs that align with our brand values.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and sales, to understand customer needs and deliver designs that meet both aesthetic and practical requirements.
• End-to-End Design: Follow creative direction to design initial concepts, develop mock-ups, create tech packs, complete art files, and develop packaging materials.
• Design Documentation: Prepare detailed design specifications and production-ready art files, collaborating with Product Development and suppliers to ensure all concepts are accurately executed.
• Market Research: Stay informed on trends in design, packaging, and the party supply industry, using insights to influence design decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• A strong portfolio showcasing diverse design work and a solid understanding of current trends in product creation.
• A problem-solving mindset, driven to overcome design challenges and deliver market-ready products.
• Meticulous attention to detail throughout every stage of the design process.
• Strong time management skills with a commitment to producing high-quality work within deadlines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and able to articulate design ideas effectively while embracing feedback.
• Proficiency in design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.
• Preferred Skills:
• Expertise in hand illustration.
• Experience using PLM software.
• Previous experience designing party supplies and small accessories is highly valued.

Education:

A 4-year BA or BS college degree with a minimum of 3 years of design experience.

Business Hours:

Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and occasional overnight travel may be required.

This position is located in Austin, TX. Please note that this is not a remote role.
