Role Summary: Smith Automotive Group is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive intern to join our Marketing internship affiliate program for the Fall Semester. As a Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial role in expanding our reach and building relationships through social media outreach, content creation, data analysis, marketing events, and other organic and paid marketing outreach. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and affiliate marketing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage customer social media experience.
- Assist with the execution of social media campaigns (paid and organic)
- Create content (Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook)
- Do research and data analysis on automotive industry
- Fact-check and edit web pages and other content
- Edit photos as needed for marketing use
- Depending on skills and interests, other tasks may include scriptwriting, filming, video editing, email marketing production, and more.
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
- Help organize events, tradeshows, and webinars; take inventory of current tradeshow materials, create check in/check-out system, assist with event logistic tasks such as shipping, work with event and webinar coordinators, etc. (if time allows)
- Create and implement new ideas.
- Assist with creating and managing website content.
- Do research & data analytics on websites and advertising performance.
Requirements:
- Good Communication skills.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for marketing, communications, or similar field.
- Must have a passion for marketing.
- Knowledge of advertising techniques and strategies.
- Knowledge of email and social media marketing techniques.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Premier Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools.
- Interest in car sales processes.
- Familiarity with social media platforms- including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Looker Studio, and Microsoft Clarity preferred.
- Indoor Setting: Work primarily indoors within the dealership showroom and technology demonstration areas.?
- Outdoor Setting: Work alone or alongside coworkers to create video & photo content as well as working marketing events.
- Schedule: Monday- Friday (occasional weekends to support marketing events)
- $18.00/hour (25 to 30 hours per week)
