Key Responsibilities: Innovation Strategy Development:

identify areas for innovation, create a comprehensive roadmap, and ensure alignment of innovation goals with the organization’s overall objectives. Outreach and Partnership Building:

Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, industry experts, community leaders, and potential collaborators to drive new ideas and foster collaboration. Idea Generation and Evaluation:

Lead brainstorming sessions, assess new concepts, and select viable innovation projects for pilot implementation. Project Management:

Manage the execution of innovation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, tracking performance, and overseeing proposal management. Communication and Dissemination:

Effectively communicate innovation initiatives to both internal and external audiences through presentations, workshops, publications, and other appropriate channels. Market Research and Analysis:

Conduct research to monitor industry trends, identify potential customer needs, and inform the development of innovation strategies. Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage proactively with key stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and secure support for innovation initiatives. Grant Proposal Development:

Draft strategic proposals that clearly communicate project goals, funding needs, and expected impact, while aligning with funder guidelines to maximize award potential. Grant Management and Research:

Oversee grant proposal development, identify funding opportunities across federal, state, and private sectors, and manage reporting and compliance related to awarded funds. Maintain the organization’s annual grants calendar. Mission Contribution:

Support the organization’s mission by identifying funding opportunities, writing proposals and request letters, and reporting on the use of funds to donors and funders. Maintain proposal and reporting schedules. Research and Compliance Reporting:

Conduct research on issues related to proposal writing, assist with compliance reporting, and work with program and management teams to identify funding opportunities, monitor program activities, and track outcomes. Collaborate with finance and grantor staff to manage grant applications and reporting. Essential Skills: Strategic Thinking:

Skilled in researching potential grants from various sources, including foundations, government agencies, and corporate donors, to identify the best funding opportunities. Developing Grant Proposals:

Experience writing persuasive, clear proposals that effectively communicate project goals, methodologies, budgets, and evaluation plans. Compiling Supporting Documentation:

Ability to gather and organize necessary data, letters of support, and financial statements to substantiate grant applications. Managing Grant Compliance:

Ensure adherence to reporting requirements, budget constraints, and grant terms throughout the project lifecycle. Building Relationships with Funders:

Establish and nurture relationships with funders to advocate for the organization's mission and potential impact. Other Duties:

Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the organization's objectives and ongoing projects. Qualifications include but not limited: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred 2 years of grant writing experience with a successful record of grant solicitation at the local, State, Federal, education and/or foundation level Experience must demonstrate a proven track record with securing new funding opportunities, comprehensive knowledge of the grant application process, scoring criteria, submission, management of grant budget funds and funding cycles. Demonstrated ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals with correct grammar usage and spelling. Proficiency in research, interpreting, analyzing, and presenting data. Proficiency in managing grant budgets accurately in compliance with grant guidelines. Knowledge of fundraising sources at the local, state and federal levels. Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Organize and synthesize data transforming information into clear, compelling and mission-driven cases for support. Draft grant copy and content to meet funder’s specifications and to translate ideas into effective grant proposals. Compose grant proposal cover letters and assist in preparing funder thank you letters as needed. Collect, develop and organize supportive exhibits and presentations materials.
