We are an online and catalog marketplace offering a curated collection of the finest family of plus size brands and thousands of products. POSITION SUMMARY: The CAD Designer will be responsible for generating on-brand CAD artwork for their respective brand. This includes developing patterns and graphics that are aligned with the seasonal color trends selected by the Design and Merchandising Teams. The CAD Designer will also be expected to attend meetings with cross-functional partners to understand the brand's seasonal vision and business. They will be responsible for tracking CADs, and ensuring all CADs are properly reported and archived while meeting all the critical deadlines. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and execute production-ready print/pattern CADs for the assigned brand in a timely manner. Develop pattern repeats and produce alternate colorways using NedGraphics. Manage and update the CAD Tracking Chart with daily status reports to ensure all CADs are properly tracked, and distribute the Tracker weekly to cross-functional teams. Work with cross-functional partners on the visualization, presentation, and communication of design concepts through CAD artwork. Assign CAD Numbers, and CAD Names, and save final CADs in a timely manner. Find ideas for print needs and create new CADs for the Quarterly Print Presentation. Send CAD requests to studios based on direction from Design Leads as needed. Track and manage CAD development budgets for their respective brand. Use Adobe Illustrator to create garment sketches and fill with prints if necessary. Actively participate in Quarterly Assortment Meetings with the Design and Merchandising Teams, supporting Design Leads by re-coloring prints on the spot and speaking up to introduce. Stay updated with new CAD technology and artificial intelligence techniques, implementing them to streamline and improve workflow. Train Assistant and Associate CAD Designers on using NedGraphics and maintaining the CAD Tracker. Order and manage supplies as necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Textile Design, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience. Experience with Computer Aided Design and/or graphic-oriented software applications. Able to work with cross-functional teams to understand brand vision and goals. Deep understanding of brand and business dynamics. Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel. Proficient in Adobe CS Software and NedGraphics. Extremely organized & strong attention to detail.
