Summary: The Designer Specialist in the Foundation will be responsible for creating visually compelling and impactful design elements across various platforms including print and digital media, to effectively communicate Children's Health mission, promote events, raise awareness, and engage donors, all while aligning with brand standards of Children's Health. This position maintains strong relationships with key individuals throughout the organization. The designer is collaborative, self-motivated, eager to learn, passionate, people-oriented, intelligent and thoughtful and demonstrates the core values of Children's Health - Selfless Service, Passionate Advocacy, Commitment to Excellence and Unwavering Integrity.
Responsibilities: * Print Design: Develop print materials like brochures, flyers, posters, event invitations and fundraising appeals. * Digital Design: Create graphics for social media platforms, website banners, email marketing campaigns, online advertisements and digital fundraising initiatives. * Infographics and Data Visualization: Design infographics to present complex data in a visually engaging way to educate the public about Children's Health and the Foundation. * Website Design: collaborate with the Senior Comms Specialist to design and maintain the organization's website, ensuring visual consistency and user-friendly navigation. * Photography and Videography: Assist with photo shoots and video projecting, potentially creating graphics that align with the Children's Health Brand. * Effectively communicate hospital mission/vision, key messages and positioning to achieve business objectives. * Build strong effective relationships with peers, vendors, and internal partners in a manner that represents Children's positively and fosters collaboration that will deliver effective communications. * Assess communication and graphic design needs and interact with employees and leaders to evaluate communication effectiveness. * Develop and monitor performance metrics. Leverage metrics and outcomes to enhance deliverables to best meet users' needs. * Copyedit, proofread, and revise as necessary.
WORK EXPERIENCE * At least 5 years related experience Required * At least 3 years Experience with creating visually compelling and impactful design elements across digital and print mediums. Required * Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Required * Previous work experience in internal, employee or corporate non-profit or agency communications positions Preferred
EDUCATION * Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required
