ABOUT THIS ROLE

You will be responsible for driving higher search rankings for celebrity, beauty, wellness, fashion and sustainable brands. We care deeply about learning and growing as a team, and you’ll have access to the best enterprise-level tools and resources to master SEO. Together, we’ll help clients scale their organic search revenue through on-page and technical SEO recommendations, and much more. Must have strong communication with the ability to engage and connect with clients on a professional and personal level, build trust, and drive outcomes. This is a heavily client-facing role that requires strategic relationship management and a sales-minded approach.

With more ambiguity entering the paid marketing space due to iOS updates and the further lack of revenue tracking, how we as marketing professionals lead entrepreneurs and teams to achieve their goals requires an interdisciplinary and holistic approach, one that thrives off of constant curiosity, as well as an open mind and analytical creativity. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own clients’ overall SEO strategy and work closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and freelancers to ensure strategy is driving forward and key initiatives are met. This role will require expert organizational and project management skills.
  • Be the main point of contact in an honest, kind, and professional manner through ongoing email communication and periodic meetings.
  • Perform ongoing keyword research to identify the right keywords to target and where to place them on our clients' sites. You will have to sift through all the noise and know how to hone in on the keywords we want to target that will drive actual revenue impact.
  • Audit site technicals on a monthly basis and deliver technical recommendations in a clean and organized way.
  • Provide ongoing and proactive SEO recommendations to continually improve technical SEO performance and identify new SEO opportunities.
  • Build and maintain monthly reports and decks that provide insights into campaign and site performance, SEO trends over time, and detailed, actionable next steps.
  • Build audits for both potential SEO clients and existing clients that identify high growth opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO industry trends and news to identify new SEO strategies.
  • Help refine and challenge our internal practices to build a scalable SEO program.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experienced SEO professional - 3+ years of experience working on businesses with annual revenues ranging from $500K - $100M at an eCommerce business or agency. You know both technical SEO and on-page optimization strategies. Previous experience with SEO copywriting is a plus.
  • Self-directed - You act like an owner, take pride in your work, and initiate solutions to problems that arise independently. Excellent prioritization, project management, and time management skills are essential to move multiple projects forward in a timely manner.
  • Experience with various SEO tools - The tools that we use are SEMRush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, and Ahrefs. All of our clients are Shopify or Wordpress built eCommerce businesses. We welcome experience with other tools that can add value to our current stack.
  • Data-driven & proactive - You know how to use data to make strategic decisions and when to proactively seek out insights to improve marketing outcomes. You’re not afraid to dig into the weeds of data and ask questions.
  • Excellent communicator - You’ll be working with a wide range of stakeholders that have varying levels of experience and comfortability with SEO terminology and strategies. This requires the ability to translate data and technical thoughts into clear and actionable takeaways that all levels can digest. You also enjoy communicating with empathy, encouragement, and confidence to excite the clients.
  • Presentation skills - This role requires regular interaction with clients through monthly meetings that illustrate how the site is trending over time and how our SEO work is contributing to their site performance. You will be in charge of owning the creation of these decks and presenting them to the client on a monthly basis.
  • Eager to learn - You are naturally curious, eager, and open to constantly learning and growing. We’re looking for people who are excited to work with smart entrepreneurs to solve complex business problems.
