Pay Range:
$32.00 - $52.08 per hour

Summary:
The Rush Center for Excellence (CEA) is a national leader in the development of training programs for professionals who serve older adults. This designer will work with a team of clinicians, educators, and other design professionals to develop both print and digital products. This role will manage production of all print and digital pieces, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, digital artwork for online modules, and posters as requested from conception to delivery. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or more in graphic design or related field
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent design skills and strong knowledge of graphic production processes and printing
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills—must interact and collaborate with colleagues throughout Rush System including but not limited to content and marketing Strategists, Internal Communicators, information services, human resources and Rush department leaders.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products and project management tools
• Ability to work with diverse customers and colleagues
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of emerging industry trends and desire to expand knowledge of healthcare marketing and tools needed to keep in step with trends
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Experience in a design firm, advertising agency or in-house design department.
• Proficient in all professional design-focused software applications, i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience working within project management systems and flexibility to learn new tools as needed
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Be able to successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Understanding of printing processes and how color choices, printing methods, paper selection and folding configurations affect overall project costs.
• Be a collaborative member of the team and ability to maintain multiple interpersonal relationships, both in the immediate office and other departments that are critical to creating effective communications.
• Attentive to detail.
• Highly proficient computer skills, especially with Adobe Creative Suite applications.
Responsibilities:
• Provide art direction, graphic design, and production support to the Rush Center for Excellence in Aging with consultation from both internal and external teams
• Develop educational for a desired population and assist with education module graphic design.
• Develop and maintain electronic templates for frequently needed materials: e.g., signage, flyers, newsletters
• Communicate and facilitate the art direction and design pieces in both print and digital environments for a wide range of clients
• Manage production of all print pieces from conception to completion, communicate with vendors and external partners and advise on vendor selection and external partners when appropriate
• Produce designs that are both original and from branded templates, including illustrations, infographics, and animations
• Collaborates with Center for Excellence in Aging team and consult with others across the Rush System to identify design needs and ensure consistency, including Rush Marketing Brand and Creative Media to ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with Center for Excellence in Aging staff to provide creative solutions to support Center strategic priorities
