We have a great opportunity for a PCB Design Supervisor to join our team Defense Solutions Group.


CW is looking for a seasoned PCB designer to Develop and release complex PCBs in an R&D Environment. Candidates must be able to work as a team with internal or external third-party designers. Work alongside other multi-disciplinary teams of engineering experts and program development managers to execute full PCB design. Designs must be created in accordance with applicable design standards. Must be able to apply CAD, CAM CAE tool skills to final PCB Design and drawings.

Your Challenge:

  • Generate PCB CAD layout design data to meet product requirements.
  • Aid checking completed design layouts and drawings to certify standards, procedures, specifications, manufacturability and accuracy of physical dimensions.
  • Conduct Comprehensive design reviews with engineering and manufacturing teams to design completion, which confirm to costs and requirements.
  • Plan and execute PCB design Tasks in accordance to project schedules.
  • Participate in PCB Product Failure analysis and provide Insite and/or recommendations to engineering teams.
  • Release completed designs into CW Document Control System (Agile). Assure Released Documents conform to standards.


What you Bring:

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 Years experience routing mixed signal, high-speed digital, analog and low power high current designs in high reliability environments.
  • Must Have extensive knowledge experience designing high-density interconnect (HDI), including dense double-sided PCBs with 26+ layer/Mult lamination rigid Blind/Buried Via with uVia Structures.
  • Solid Command Experience using Siemens Expedition (PCB) as well as Siemens Expedition DX Designer (SCH) tools.
  • Able to generate parts for the PCB environment and update/ maintain libraries, control integration to SCH files.
  • Able to generate Fabrication drawings per ASME and CW standards.
  • Understanding of IPC-600, 610 6012 and 7351 industry standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and information to peer tears.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadline in high pressure environment, ability to drive to result and hold self-accountable to continuously improve skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to work though ambiguity and evolving project requirements.
  • Ability to lead and mentor others creating/architecting complex designs to completion while in a schedule-teams based project.
