POSITION SUMMARY

SET ACTIVE is looking for a Design Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Design Director, this role is responsible for trend research, color & silhouette development, CAD design, and assisting with technical design. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for trends, proficiency in design software, and a passion for innovation in performance and lifestyle apparel. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the full design process, from concept to execution, in a fast-paced, trend-driven environment. We are a start-up, so no job is too big or too small for any of our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with conducting trend research on color, fabric, and silhouettes for upcoming collections.
  • Create CAD sketches and presentation boards to visualize design concepts for each drop.
  • Update and refine CADs with accurate color applications based on seasonal color selections and design revisions for each drop.
  • Assist in developing tech packs and supporting technical design for product development.
  • Participate in design and CAD presentation meetings, documenting key discussions and action points.
  • Assist with sample fittings, taking notes, and ensuring feedback is accurately communicated.
  • Support the technical designer in measuring and reviewing fit samples, photoshoot samples, and TOPs to ensure garment specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with product development to ensure sourced materials align with design intent.
  • Organize and maintain fabric and trim library, design archives, digital libraries, and inspiration boards for future reference.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and merchandising, to ensure design intent is executed.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining the sample closet.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Fashion Design or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in apparel design, preferred and in activewear or performance wear is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong eye for color, trend forecasting, and activewear innovation.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and technical design.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for fitness, fashion, and functionality in women's activewear.
