SEO Strategist
ACCOUNTABILITY As SEO Strategist for Embergrove, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to improve organic search performance, increase web traffic, and enhance the company's online visibility. This role requires expertise in keyword research, content optimization, technical SEO, and link-building to drive high-ranking placements in search results. You will conduct SEO audits, monitor performance metrics, and analyze competitor strategies to identify opportunities for growth. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations. You will ensure SEO initiatives align with business objectives and contribute to long-term success.
In this role, you will optimize on-page elements such as meta tags and headings, implement internal and external link-building strategies, and address technical SEO issues to improve crawlability and domain authority. You will also track organic performance, analyze keyword rankings and core web vitals, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance search visibility. Staying ahead of algorithm changes and industry trends, you will continuously refine SEO tactics to maximize results. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to drive measurable improvements in organic search performance.

WHAT TO EXPECT Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies for both on-page and off-page optimization to improve search engine rankings, drive organic traffic, and enhance overall website performance.
Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify high-impact opportunities for content development, website optimization, and strategic targeting.
Perform regular technical SEO audits, diagnosing and resolving issues related to site structure, crawlability, indexing, page speed, and mobile optimization to improve search visibility and user experience.
Optimize website content, landing pages, and blog posts by refining metadata, headers, internal linking, and content structure to align with SEO best practices and search intent.
Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs, translating data into actionable insights.
Keep up with search engine algorithm updates, industry trends, and emerging best practices, ensuring strategies remain effective and aligned with evolving SEO standards.
Collaborate with developers and UX teams to implement structured data, improve site architecture, and address technical SEO challenges.
Plan and execute link-building initiatives, securing high-quality backlinks to strengthen domain authority and improve search rankings.
Provide strategic recommendations to enhance user experience (UX) and conversion rates, ensuring SEO efforts contribute to broader business goals.

Deep understanding of SEO principles, including search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and industry best practices across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, and similar platforms to conduct audits, track performance, and drive insights.
Technical SEO expertise, including experience with site speed optimization, mobile-first indexing, structured data implementation, and resolving crawlability and indexing issues.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, content creators, and marketing teams, to implement SEO best practices across digital assets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and adapt SEO strategies accordingly.
Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus, particularly for troubleshooting technical SEO issues.
Familiarity with additional digital marketing channels, such as PPC, social media, and content marketing, to support a holistic digital strategy.
