U-Haul’s in-house ad agency, A&M Associates, is looking for a skilled and versatile Staff Artist to join our creative team. In this role, you will craft compelling visual artwork, including composition renderings, lifestyle banners, and technical drawings. The ideal candidate is a highly artistic and imaginative professional with strong creative skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to bring projects to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Create composition artwork of U-Haul moving and storage centers using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Collaborate closely with project coordinators and architectural illustrators to develop concepts, brainstorm ideas, and ensure visual consistency across all platforms.
  • Incorporate feedback to refine artwork and meet project objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in art and design, and integrate relevant insights into creative work.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines and deadlines.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation of work, including versions, revisions, and project assets.
  • Assist with other creative tasks as needed, such as photo editing, layout design, lifestyle banner creation, and technical drawings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art, design, illustration, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing artistic skills, creativity, and versatility in different styles and mediums.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant software applications.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and interact professionally with other colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in working in a creative agency, design studio, or similar professional setting is preferred but not required.
  • Passion for art, design, and creativity, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
