As a Systems Engineer for AV Live Events, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting audio-visual and collaboration systems for our customers. You will work with cutting-edge technologies servicing LED video walls, Crestron, Bi-amp, Brightsign, T1V, digital signage, interactive displays, wireless presentation solutions, and cloud-based collaboration tools like Teams, Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
- Design, install and configure cutting-edge videoconferencing and collaboration solutions for meetings, live streams, and other live events.
- Train and support less experienced AV Engineers.
- Maintain A/V infrastructures and conduct routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that installation, configuration, and operation of AV equipment exceeds our customers’ expectations.
- Assist with monitoring key A/V meetings and events, including live streams.
- Identify trade partners in various markets.
- Understand and apply industry standards and best practices.
- Identify and implement alternative technology approaches to meeting customer requirements.
- Maintain company AV standards.
- Install AV hardware as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of AV experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Position requires reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance.
- Travel within the continental United States required.
Essential skills and Technical proficiencies
- A thorough understanding of audio and video equipment such as microphones, speakers, cameras, and control systems.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with AV equipment quickly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of how audio and video signals are processed and routed.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining AV equipment.
- Knowledge of proper cabling techniques and wiring practices for AV systems.
- An understanding of acoustics and how sound behaves in different spaces.
- Proficiency with multimedia software and applications.
- A foundational understanding of electronics principles is helpful.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
