Position Summary

Our team is looking for a passionate and energetic self-starter to join the Communications team as Social Content Producer. This person will capture, produce and edit photo and video content for Excel Sports Management’s social media channels that support around NBA, WNBA, MLB, PGA, LPGA, NFL, NIL, corporate and other needs. This position will also support content for client and other relevant channels requested.

The Social Content Producer must have a deep passion for and knowledge of sports and have a keen knowledge and understanding of social media trends, and a comfortability working in a fast-paced, detailed-oriented environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Shoot, produce and edit photo and video content to support Excel channels
  • Travel to and capture photo and video at tentpole events (i.e. Super Bowl, All Star, drafts, etc) with quick turnaround for social
  • Brainstorm and conceptualize with larger social team to develop content strategy
  • Assist clients with shooting and editing organic and branded content requests for client and/or brand channels
  • Effectively communicate between all parties ensuring accurate, detailed content is delivered
  • Staying current on creative trends in sport, music, entertainment, lifestyle, art, and culture to bring innovative new ideas to support agency and client channels
  • Take feedback from key stakeholders and execute changes when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years of professional content production (video and photo) experience within a sports team, league, agency or media outlet

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Highly competent with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
  • Passionate about social media content and trends
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible to shift between projects as new priorities emerge
  • Experience creating engaging content to grow audiences
  • Passion for Excel’s key sports, divisions and the sports landscape as a whole; interest in pop-culture and lifestyle trends
  • Excellent organizational skills, focus and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and balance short-term and long-term projects
  • Ability to work outside working hours when needed
  • Self-starter who can work on a small team in a dynamic organization
  • Must be able to think strategically, creatively, and problem-solve
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment
  • Driven to increase industry knowledge and work to stay ahead of the curve

The pay range for this position is: $70,000- $75,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
