Position Summary : We’re looking for an Executive Producer for our morning show – someone who is an empathetic teacher and leader, values her/his teammates, is connected to the community, is creative – and wants to win. The Executive Producer supervises news content across all platforms and helps create impactful and informative newscasts to our viewers.
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : Responsible for evaluating stories; organizing them into a cohesive sequence within a newscast or digital content for the web. Define strategic direction for content coverage to meet station objectives. Manage newsroom, contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations. Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all media devices. Line produces when necessary. Requirements & Skills : Bachelor’s degree in Communications or the equivalent. Three years’ experience in television news is preferred. Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff. Detail-oriented. Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills. Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations. Utilize state-of-the-art television technology. Flexibility to work any shift. EEO Statement:
