full-time, permanent, News Media Guild position About the Role The ideal candidate will be well-sourced in Washington and in areas such as defense, justice, national security, intelligence agencies and/or K Street. They'll be able to craft compelling narratives that connect the dots between the abuse of power at the federal level and the impact on everyday people for a global audience. The reporter will work with a dedicated enterprise editor on the Washington desk and be expected to publish original reporting on a regular basis. They will also work with the enterprise editor and other reporters in Washington to break news, report enterprise stories on the functioning of Washington and its impacts. About You 10+ years reporting experience Strong track record of producing scoops and original breaking news to cover extremism and malfeasance in Washington Experience in enterprise reporting and investigations Able to file clean copy and conduct fact checking Experience writing for a global audience preferred How to Apply We know there are great candidates who might not check all these boxes or who possess important skills we haven't thought of.
