Uses defined policies and procedures to evaluate and design new IT systems or enhance existing systems to integrate with current and future needs. Tests and evaluates the compatibility and integration of new systems with existing infrastructure, networks, and applications. Designs models and utilizes analysis and solution development methods, including process maps, flow charts, and diagrams. Supports management with project planning, risk assessment, and project tracking to deliver timely IT solutions within budget. May create coding and logic specifications for developers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work, gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
