About the team

The Global Brand & Creative team within Marketing is responsible for our brand and marketing creative. From building brand awareness campaigns to designing experiences like Dreamforce, our multi-faceted team does it all. We are a collection of designers, copywriters, strategists, PMs, and more, whose sole purpose is to bring the brand to life across our incredible portfolio of work.

About the role

As a global, internal creative agency, the time has come for us to build the Production Studio of our dreams - where production design can be centralized, ad hoc creative projects can be delivered, and our tools and systems operationalized. The foundation of this Production Studio is to allow our incredibly talented creative thinkers and doers focus on what they do best, while ensuring that the work is still delivered on time and to plan. But the core of this Production Studio? You.

As the Sr. Director of the Production Studio, you will be responsible for building the team and the process to effectively intake, prioritize, deliver, and distribute the work. You will be the gatekeeper of the team, the strategic partner to creative leadership, and the operational arm of creative output. Strategically thinking through failsafes like agency overflow during busy times and defining for the business this team’s role and responsibilities to guarantee the right work is prioritized, you are the key to this new team’s success. This role requires a strong background in creative production and reports directly to the SVP, Global Brand & Creative.

What you will do

  • Build and manage a global team of copywriters, proofreaders, traffickers, creative technologists and production designers
  • Establish and evolve the process for resourcing, intake, prioritization and management of the work across both the Creative teams and ad hoc creative requests
  • Buildout and manage the Mexico City production team as part of our company’s hub strategy model, identifying the strategy, resourcing model and intake process
  • Partner with Creative leads and Creative PMs on planning and prioritization to ensure effective resourcing models for output
  • Define the scope and parameters of the team to create business clarity on the Production Studio’s roles and responsibilities
  • Identify, partner and manage external agencies to support overflow or outsourcing non-business critical requests
  • Ensure all design deliverables meet the highest quality standards, adhering to brand guidelines and industry best practices
  • Conduct thorough design reviews to identify potential issues and ensure the creative vision is executed consistently
  • Partner with Creative Operations and Creative Technology teams to identify the best tools, systems, asset management and process for workflows and distribution
  • Motivate, inspire, and guide a team towards achieving goals, while actively helping the team to problem-solve and address challenges and capitalize on opportunities

What experience you have

  • BA or BFA in Marketing, Design or related field
  • Extensive experience in design, production or related field
  • Proven track record of building and leading teams in a studio / production environment
  • Deep understanding of creative production processes
  • Experience managing internal client relationships and agencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 10+ years experience in Production Design or related
  • 10+ years of industry or related creative experience
  • 8+ years experience leading and managing a team in a creative agency or internal creative group; global experience is a plus
