Description:
Our client is looking for a Web Developer. The Web Developer is responsible for developing custom web applications for the client and key stakeholders, assuring software quality, providing technical assistance, troubleshooting software issues, and providing technical expertise to the client development team. The position works on a collaborative basis with other Software Engineers, Project Managers, Database Administrators, and Business Process Analysts.
Tasks:
- Collaboratively develop software applications for the client:
- Member of a Scrum development team.
- Writes functional software for web applications.
- Performs application tests.
- Assists with software troubleshooting.
- Performs programming fixes and rewrites.
- Performs software maintenance tasks.
- Creates software release artifacts.
- Manages software revisions.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years - Relevant programming experience
- 5+ years - Experience developing complex web applications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Training or experience in functional languages such as Scala, Haskell, Purescript, F#, Erlang, Self, Scheme, OCaml, or Clojure
- Experience using Linux as a development platform
- Experience developing web applications using PureScript, Scala, and PostgreSQL
