Job Description

MacroSys is seeking a Senior Technical Writer with demonstrated professional/technical writing and editing skills, preferably in a transportation or technology-related field.

Responsibilities:

• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension
• Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions
• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed
• Analyze information required for the development or update of policies, procedures, and other documentation
• Create original drafts of new communication products, including speeches, articles, news releases, etc.
• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field and 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience writing speeches, sometimes with swift turnaround
• Fluency in technical and common office software (Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to multitask and be a self-starter
• Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy
• Knowledge of Drupal is a plus

Candidates MUST have a portfolio of articles, speeches, and/or other technical writing samples that demonstrate his/her/their professional writing experience.

Candidate MUST be either a U.S. citizen or lawfully permitted to work in the United States.
