Your New Role...

The Senior UX Writer will collaborate across the global organization to develop and deliver best-in-class customer experiences for Max and our partner brands. You’ll work on high-visibility, high-impact projects, often autonomously, and in close collaboration with partners in product design, product management, and a variety of stakeholders including senior leadership, marketing, and legal.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Strategize based on a solid understanding of user experience, various platform technologies, and best practices.

  • Engage in feature development – participating in logic, naming, messaging strategy and information architecture.

  • Execute UX writing, content strategy and documentation to achieve a cohesive, multiplatform consumer experience, with limited guidance and on deadline.

  • Apply and rationalize strategic methodologies to highly complex, ambiguous projects of great impact on both customers and business goals.

  • Partner with product designers, product managers, researchers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to create, evaluate and continuously refine innovative experiences.

  • Present to various levels of stakeholders, and drive creation of decks, prototypes, and research plans.

  • Influence best practices, assist in creating style guides and improving process, and evangelize the UX writing practice.

  • Ensure all content adheres to legal and ethical standards, as well as best practices (as developed by the UX Writing team).

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 5+ years experience in UX Writing or copywriting.

  • A portfolio with relevant writing samples.

  • Strong copyediting skills.

  • Ability to work both collaboratively with a team and autonomously as necessary.

  • Positive attitude and adaptive style – the ability to switch seamlessly from one project to the next with ease.

  • Familiarity with Figma, MS Office, and Jira.

  • Excellent knowledge of style, American English spelling, grammar, punctuation and usage; international language skills a plus.

  • Deep knowledge and experience writing for product environments.

  • Some fluency in localization.

  • Experience working in high-pressure environment under tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of emerging trends for digital products and cross-platform integrations.

  • Streaming service or entertainment background.

  • Hands-on experience with user research techniques including user testing, personas, user tasks and scenarios, internal and external user interviews.

  • Friendly, outside-the-box thinking; creative problem-solving mastery.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
