Creative Director

Location: Oklahoma City - In-Office

Kosmos Q is seeking a Creative Director to lead and optimize our content production efforts across organic and paid media. This role requires a creative and hands-on leader who can refine processes, develop high-quality creative at scale, and ensure our content resonates with the right audiences. This role will take the lead in producing innovative content in the BBQ goods space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and streamline the company’s content production for organic platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and paid media (video and static ads, food photography, ad design).
  • Lead and develop our in-house content creators, guiding best practices and production standards.
  • Assess content production needs and source necessary tools, resources, and personnel to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Manage collaborations with third-party production teams for long-form content while ensuring consistency across all creative assets.
  • Translate data-driven insights from our content analysis team into compelling creative content that aligns with performance goals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and platform best practices to keep Kosmos Q’s content engaging and effective.
  • Maintain brand consistency and messaging across all creative outputs.
  • Work across Sales, Marketing, and E-commerce teams to provide each team with innovative and engaging BBQ content.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in creative direction, content production, or a related field.
  • A proven portfolio showcasing the ability to create high-performing content.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing creative talent.
  • Deep understanding of audience-driven storytelling and performance-based creative.
  • Experience working with internal and external production teams to scale content efficiently.
  • Well-versed in current content trends and best practices across digital platforms.
  • Bonus: CPG or BBQ experience is a plus, but a passion for great food and storytelling is key.

Performance Expectations:

  • Develop and implement a streamlined content production workflow within the first 60 days.
  • Work with the content analysis team to improve content consumption metrics (completion rates, thumbstop ratio, and engagement).
  • Reduce reliance on third parties for content ideation and strategy.

This role is ideal for a strategic and creative thinker who thrives on creative challenges and knows how to turn a content team into a high-performing production engine.
